To that purpose, see the attached picture DaDiRa_02.png - Dialog 07. If you still have difficulties, it's quite possible to disable this shortcut. It's ONLY when you hit and immediately release the left ALT and SHIFT keys that you change of keyboard's layout ! Of course, this shortcut is inactive, if your computer has one input language only ! I did tests with, both, Windows 7 and Windows XP, and I didn't notice any problem. But, normally, swapping is effective when you release these two keys and NOT when you press them ! So you shouldn't have any trouble when, you hit, in N++, let say, the Trim trailing and save macro, with default shortcut ALT + SHIFT + S, for example. as you would have an English keyboard :-(Īs you said, swapping between the two configurations, is made, by default, with the shortcut Left AFT + SHIFT. Just imagine your password, on a French machine, begins with azert. It's just because, in my company, the installation of some computers automatically create two input languages and, therefore, two associated keyboard layouts ! And, as I French, one of the first things I do, while customizing a computer for someone, is to delete that supplementary English keyboard layout :-) I do know the special ALT + SHIFT Windows shortcut, because, sometimes, at work, people hit that combination, by mistake, and when comes the moment to enter their password to open a Window session, they get into big troubles !! So your problem has nothing to do with translations ? Well, I was wrong and I'm sorry for misunderstanding you :-( It's IMPORTANT to verify that the new created shortcuts are NOT already used, by a N++ command, a macro or a plugin !! To delete an existing shortcut, select, at the beginning of the main key list, the item None To create a new shortcut, just double-click on a line, without any shortcut Select the main key, in the list, on the rightĬlick to the OK button, to valid your preferred shortcut, for each line Scroll down the list, to get the lines with name = Translated Selected or Translated Selected-Swapped Preferenceĭouble-click on these lines to change the existing shortcutĬheck/Uncheck the ALT, CTRL and SHIFT square boxes
